What we have done for ourselves alone, dies with us;
what we have done for others remains and is immortal.

Your support of the McDonald's Heroes * Hope * Healing Golf Classic will help children who are sick and families who are suffering by providing a place to help ease the pain they are experiencing. The Children's Cancer and Treatment Center will serve children with cancer and other special infusion needs who reside in the northern two-thirds of Maine, including the most geographically remote and economically challenged.

The McDonald's Heroes * Hope * Healing Golf Classic was the first step and without your support it would not have been taken. Through your generosity over Fifty Thousand Dollars was raised, all of which will remain local and be used to build two special areas in the new Lafayette Family Cancer Center Children's Cancer and Treatment Center in 2012. The first is a Ronald McDonald Family Room which parents and families can utilize while their child is being treated. This area will be adjacent to the area where the children are being treated and will allow family members to relax in a family-friendly environment. The second area is where children will be able to receive their treatment in surroundings that are bright and cheerful. It will be designed so that children will be able to be occupied in an area that is especially suited to help them be comfortable, while undergoing lifesaving treatments.

Through your support and generosity the first step has been taken.
Thank you and God Bless.
